Refund Policy

Our refund and cancellation terms for ClearCheck subscriptions.

1. Overview

ClearCheck is a digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) product provided by Big Idea Apps. It is available exclusively as a Shopify app, and all subscription billing is managed through Shopify's billing system. This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and the right of withdrawal apply to ClearCheck subscriptions.

2. Subscription Plans and Billing

ClearCheck offers the following subscription plans:

• FREE - No charge
• BASIC - $14.99 USD per month
• PRO - $19.99 USD per month

Paid plans are billed on a 30-day recurring cycle. All charges are processed by Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice alongside other app charges and Shopify fees.

3. Free Plan

The Free plan incurs no charges and therefore no refund is applicable. You may use the Free plan indefinitely and can downgrade from a paid plan to the Free plan at any time.

4. Right of Withdrawal (EU and UK Customers)

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date your paid subscription begins, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge that the digital service begins immediately upon subscription activation. If you exercise your right of withdrawal after the service has begun, a proportional deduction may be applied for the period during which the service was used.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at hello@clearcheckcompliance.app within 14 days of your subscription start date. Refunds under this right will be processed within 14 days of receiving your request.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your Shopify admin or through the ClearCheck app. Upon cancellation:

• Your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing period
• You retain full access to your paid plan features until the end of your current billing period
• No automatic refund or credit is issued upon cancellation
• If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us at hello@clearcheckcompliance.app and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis

6. Refund Eligibility

Eligible for a refund:

• Requests made within the 14-day cooling-off period (EU and UK customers)
• Significant technical issues that prevented you from using the service
• Billing errors (e.g., charged for a plan you did not subscribe to)
• Discretionary refunds at our sole judgement for other circumstances

Not eligible for a refund:

• Change of mind after the 14-day cooling-off period has expired
• Dissatisfaction with scan results or Google Merchant Center outcomes (see our Terms of Service regarding no guarantee of compliance)

7. How Refunds Are Processed

Because ClearCheck is billed through Shopify, refunds follow Shopify's billing lifecycle:

• App subscription charges are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice. They are not charged directly by us.
• We can only issue a refund after you have paid the Shopify invoice that includes the app charge.
• Once the Shopify invoice has been paid, we will issue a refund as a credit to your Shopify account.
• Refunds may not equal the full subscription amount because Shopify retains a processing fee and regulatory operating fee from each charge. The refunded amount will be the original charge minus these Shopify fees.
• Processing time depends on your Shopify billing cycle and when you pay your invoice.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email us at hello@clearcheckcompliance.app with the following information:

• Your Shopify store domain
• The subscription plan you are on
• The reason for your refund request

We will respond to your request within 5 business days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page. Your continued use of ClearCheck after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
